How we started

Our group was created in March 2020 to support the residents of Broadwater and grew to cover the surrounding areas in Worthing. Over 200 volunteers signed up to help their neighbours, with shopping, prescriptions, dog walking, phone calls, and mail delivery.

As Covid lockdown ended we changed to offer out of hours emergency food support among other things and worked with Worthing Food Foundation to provide uniform and energy support. After borrowing premises to operate from and having to move out twice we raised enough funds to lease a premises and in March 2023 we opened our Community Hub here on South Farm Road.
